2003: The new CD 'Man in the Mirror' sees Jeza and DJ Lazer working closely together again after a 30 years musical partnership. The eclectic crossover of styles and genres is genuinely hard to pin down into a ready made category .. but the consistent rhythms, toe-tapping beats, inventive melodies, thoughtful lyrics, enigmatic vocal style, production and quality of collaborations give Jeza music the edge over much 'off the peg' on-line music. Work is now completed on a brand new 15 track CD for release OCTOBER 2003. Many of the songs are collaborative, working via the internet with Free Agent Musicians from Guatemala, Italy, Israel, UK & USA. home-produced on PC using CoolEditPro software in the UK.

 From the '70s Pop of "How Can I Help You, where Jeza seems to pay his tribute to the evergreen songwriters like Cat Stevens, to the Latin feel of "Circumstance" and "You're the One", from the sliding guitars of the awesome "Deep Water" (in my humble opinion, his best song ever) and the soulful "Place in the River", where - as I've said in more than an occasion - Jeza effectively conjugates to his "totally British" Pop a slightly American-like feel, making his style a perfect hybrid between the two Anglo-Saxon worlds: so, is it an Englishman playing the American, or an American hidden inside an Englishman? It doesn't matter anyway: if you like Pop with a capital "P", you'll love Jeza.
