"Plaaay the Game" goes a step beyond the best Simon and Garfunkle.  I listened to it three times, and I enjoyed it each time.  Am passing the site to my nephew.  Also to a couple of kids from the trip.  May see you in April with a student/parent group.  Will know early October.  If so, want to see you perform one night.  Any hope?  -Bernard
Bernard Zaidman - Sep 02

I like Tessa Ware.  And I like her music too!  She's neat.  Tessa, come and play in the US.  You can play in my backyard.  Literally.  I built a stage.  You can headline the Factoryville Backyard Tour.
Shannan - Aug 02
One of the greatest specialist books ever published (and, for many, the greatest) is David Bronstein's account of he 1953 World Chess Championship Candidates' Tournament in Switzerland. Without words, it would just list a series of moves and sound like the intonation of monotonous science. With words, it becomes an utterly sincere tale of victory and defeat, joy and despair, and the spirit of human defiance. Above all, the text seems to effortlessly locate the cadences of lyrical perfection and artistic beauty.  ' The author,' wrote 1969-1972 world champion Boris Spassky, ' is present in the pages.'    Much the same can be said of music. Without individual identity, it is reduced to the intonations of monotonous science. This is music with individual identity. On listening to it, one becomes aware of uncluttered and lilting emotional analyses (' Play The Game ') with telling phrases still suddenly falling into the songs like undamaged snowflakes  ( ' South Dakota ' and ' Iceberg'). A great line in terse wit manifests itself  (' Paranoid Cul-de-Sac ') but, above all, the eventual sum of these songs is as fresh as a (fresh) daisy. With the melancholy as affecting as a truly broken heart, and the fragile possibilities therein bearably precious and uplifting, this is a triumph of purity in, and of, music. The author is present in these songs.
Rufus - Aug 02
One day everyone will realise they need a Tessa Ware Album in their CD collection.
