The club is in the basement of the Sanctuary, an excellent Vegetarian cafe. It has a good laid-back vibe, a good place to play to a packed appreciative audience.  There is an excellent scene in Brighton, some very talented singer/songwriters.  One word of advice, arrive early, realistically before 8pm to get on the list.  If you can arrive earlier than that, you might want to eat upstairs in the cafe - I strongly recommend the cream cheese and tomato bagels.
