Don't turn up to the Edinburgh in Brixton.This open mic has moved to The Ship, 171 Kennington Road, SE11 6SF as I found out last Friday!

Last friday (march 2010) was absolutely packed, lovely atmosphere among the musicians and carl is an absolute legend! definitely worth to check out, even if you're not playing.

Went along last Friday (November 09). Decent-sized crowd of pub drinkers and musicians there to play. Lot of talented musicians there too. And more to the point, a genuinely friendly audience and host. Oh, and all performers get supper, so I guess that's the closest you'll get to being paid to do an open mic! Well worth it. I'd say this night, is up there with Needle & Thread in Herne Hill, as being one of the best and most enjoyable open mics I've done in London.
