Rich Barnard is nothing short of a GIT. The way he plays his guitar is sexual, his voice trembles my fanny! Not only is he a wonderful singer, but his song's ain't bad to! Bring on the album you sexy little git! Peter Van Hoi Git - Oct 05

Saw this chappie play at the 12 bar in 2004. Blew my socks off. Thoughtful, well crafted, and competent. But enough about my socks. Give this lad a whirl, and I suspect you will enjoy it. Richard (no relation) Richard Inman - Jan 05
I read that Mr Barnard was born the same year 'the king' died! That makes him a very special man indeed. Rich, I think you are a very talented young thing- you combine the influences of many of the legendary greats... keep it up. Best wishes from all the Gits! Gertruit Git - May 04
So when they asked me...'Rich Barnard' - one word sprung to mind - GIT - 'G' for genius, 'I' for Inspiring and 'T' for terrrific. Mr Barnard, not only a handsome man but also a fantastic strummer - in all senses of the word. I Love u Abraham Gittoff - May 04

All I have to say is that take a GAMBLE, go and see Rich. Mix raw talent, masterful songwriting craft and gorgeous stage presence for a quality night out. P.S. When you record you're E.P. Rich, I think a cover version of 'Gamble' by Jon Spalding would go down a treat. Respect. x Lucy McBeth - Nov 02
Rich Barnard deserves your love, respect, attention and money... One of the most underrated singer-songwriters in existence. Get yourself a good drink, a broken heart, and a comfortable seat, then waste some time with this man. You won't regret it. Stephen A Chin - Nov 02

nice one! from one rich to another Richard Marsden - Jul 01
Rich writes songs about love and the frailty of human relationships. A skilful songwriter both lyrically and musically, his take on the subject easily avoids the usual pitfalls of the love song cliche. I was lucky enough to catch Rich at the Big Note on the 17th of June. It was a confident, effortless performance. If you missed it, kick yourself now. It was an evening where magic seemed to hang in the air. CD available soon I hope. Steve Clarke - Jun 01
Excellent man, excellent tunes on an excellent site. All my very best wishes to you Rich Jon Jon - Apr 01
Please ask VAC to update your photo to one with short hair !!! Glad to see you are still in the charts! Love Mum. Molly Barnard - Mar 01
A compact lesson in singer-songwriting and how to do it, but that remark is primarily intended to reflect upon his originality. The quality of his act extends well into the sophisticated; his obvious (and totally vindicated) devotion to music and the art of it is an aid and not a hindrance. And a thoroughly approachable chap to boot. A fine live act, sometimes slick, but at best his performances and singing have a raw tremor on top of the virtuosity, and this is unmissably special. Someone to watch in concert repeatedly; the experience is never less than musically educational (in the best sense!) Aidan McGee - Jan 01
Mellow 'Tunes' & Strumming Guitar My Personal Favs : "Paper Disguise" (see above) and the one about "nothing being right when its gone wrong" (What IS that song called!) Paul Akehurst - Jan 01
